Straight from Los Angeles, we headed to our first National Park ever, the Yosemite National Park. The pictures of granite and huge monolith and of waterfalls used to be just that, pictures, until we finally came. The beauty of Yosemite came in full bloom and there is no word to describe it but all the words synonymous to amazing.
Same with Los Angeles, thorough research was done and itinerary was prepared to make sure that we get the most of our visit of this national park. Our visit was late spring and early summer when the waterfalls were at their peak and when some of the roads have started opening. Making an itinerary of Yosemite depends on the season you are going. Some activities may not be doable if you go for example in winter, like hiking and going to let’s say Tioga Road.
This sample itinerary is only applicable during the season of our visit and when our accommodations are already secured. Note that our accommodations are booked inside the valley and was booked months in advance.
You can stay in Yosemite in a week and you wouldn’t run out of activities to do and places to see. With our tour, we were only able to stay for 2 nights and we went there without a car. It’s true that with a car you get to do a little bit more, like, stargazing in Glacier Point or a side trip to Mariposa, but, we did the best of what we had.
So, here is a sample of “Three-day Yosemite Itinerary.” Hope this helps.
