Vinyl Records Hunting in Hong Kong

Vinyl Records Hunting in Hong Kong

I once said that one of the most awesome sounds in the world is hearing the needle hitting the record and that still stands true.  My generation has seen many kinds of audio format from cassette tapes, to compact disc, to high definition discs and we sure have enjoyed it all.  But, there is no better satisfaction and serenity than what Vinyl record can bring.  The rawness and the feeling of authenticity is unmatched and incomparable.  It might have came before tapes and CDs, but, some audiophiles surely prefer hearing great records played in Vinyl.  It surely is timeless.

Collecting records is not a cheap hobby but it is gratifying.  Nothing beats the feeling you have when you are flicking through pile of records and finding treasures.  In Macau, there is only one record shop that sell Vinyl records and most of the records are worn out and very limited.  Good thing, Hong Kong still has lots of shops to go to.  Some shops feature a collection of newly remastered and some second-hand records.  There are multiple of shops found from different parts of Hong Kong and in this age, we are lucky that people are continuously supporting this thought-to-be-dead audio format.
