A tour in Hong Kong is not complete without experiencing the nightlife.  Incredible skyscrapers, enormous theme parks, and marvelous tourist attractions are what keep Hong Kong in the morning alive.  But, after a long day, one might want to relax, grab a beer and enjoy the bustling cosmopolitan anywhere.  Be it in the colorful district of Wan Chai, on any rooftop bars in Kowloon, or in the famous Pub Street of Hong Kong, Lan Kwai Fong, one is off to a good Hong Kong nightlife experience.

Lan Kwai Fong is the famous pub street in the center of Hong Kong that is home to a number of the trendiest and coolest bars the city has to offer.  It also has lots of restaurants with diverse cuisines offering and a perfect place to hang out.  It is frequented not only by locals or expatriates, but, also of tourists.  Lan Kwai Fong is located along D’ Aguilar Street forming an L-shaped and is in close vicinity with Hong Kong’s central district.

Local and foreign restaurants and bars are what comprised the street.  Big names like; Hard Rock Cafe, The China Bar, Kebab Pizza, Ciao Chow, among others, offer tempting discounts during happy hour.  After a long day of work and before heading home, employees of Hong Kong will detour on this famous street to take of advantage discounted alcoholic beverages.  After happy hour, tourists will populate the place after a very tiring, yet, fulfilling day of exploring.

Lan Kwai Fong is on its liveliest during festivals such as, Halloween or New Year.  A number of people will haggle for a table during special holidays because it gets too crowded.  Loud music, incredible bar performances, and people dressed to a T are what will encapsulate the pub street.  Truly, there is no dull moment.

The next time you are in Hong Kong, grab a beer at one of the bars in Lan Kwai Fong and have a great time.

 

How to Get to Lan Kwai Fong?

Lan Kwai Fong is located in Central district of Hong Kong.  It is in close vicinity to Connaught Road, Queen’s Road and Chater Road.  To get here, take MTR to Central Station and take Exit D2.  From the exit, turn left and cross the street and walk through D’ Aguilar Street.
