Since Macau is called the Las Vegas of Asia, many believed that it is not child-friendly. Macau doesn’t have any theme or leisure park like what Hong Kong has, but there are still a lot of things to do in Macau for families who have kids. Check out this list of things to do in Macau with kids to make sure they’ll too, have fun.
1. Be educational: Go to Macau Science Center.
The only science center in Macau that is both enjoyed by local students and children tourists alike. It features a 3d planetarium, exhibition galleries and educational activities.

2. Take a boat ride at Hac Sa Reservoir Water Park.
Located at the southern most part of Macau, the Coloane, where the Hac Sa (Black Sand) beach is nearby, is the Hac Sa Resorvoir Water Park where visitors can take the boat ride. This is one activity that the whole family can thoroughly enjoy.

3. Say hello to Pandas at Macau Panda Pavilion.
Your tour in China and Hong Kong wouldn’t be complete without seeing giant pandas, it is kind of a tradition. Macau is no different, here in Macau you can meet two adorable giant pandas named Kai Kai and Xin Xin.

4. Play at Qube or Qube 2.
If the parents do not want to be bothered when they go shopping or if they want to play in the casino, they can leave their kids at the children’s playground, Qube in Venetian Hotel or Qube 2 in Sands Cotai Central. This playground is designed for kids 1 to 17 years old, and features interactive games, mazes, slides and other fun activities.

5. Meet and Greet the Dreamworks Gang at Sands Cotai Central.
Shrek, Fiona, Po, Alex the lion, and many other Dreamworks gang, you name it and you’ll see it. You can have breakfast with them, you can take pictures with them or you can watch them during the daily parade only happening at Sands Cotai Central.

6. History can be fun too, visit the Ruins of St. Paul’s and Museum of Sacred Art and Crypt
Kids love school excursion or educational trips, and to do it with the family is more memorable. Travel for kids can also be educational, bring them to Ruins of St. Paul’s and share with them a little bit of history and then proceed to Macau Museum to get to know Macau’s tradition and history. Don’t think that it will bore them, it won’t, it will enrich their minds that will make the trip even more eventful.

7. Ride the Gondola and watch the Streetmosphere Shows at Venetian Hotel.
Venetian Hotel is an enormous resort hotel and they’d make sure that visiting the property would be enjoyable for adults and kids alike. Go to level three of the Hotel and you will see the shopping centre and three long canals inspired by Venice, Italy. You will be mesmerized by its beauty and kids will surely have a great time. Take the gondola ride and be serenaded by the talented Gondoliers and after taking the ride proceed to St. Marks Square, still in level three, and watch the streetmosphere troops as they perform their talent acts that vary from playing magic, circus, singing, playing the violin and a lot more.
And if you are lucky and you come at the right time, Venetian sometimes holds exhibition or shows such as Ice World, transformers or dinosaur exhibitions or sometimes musicals that can, indeed, be appreciated by kids.
